Spravato is the esketamine nasal medicine used under its label for treatment-resistant depression.

The visit

You take Spravato during a monitored office visit and remain in the office for two hours after each dose. Side effects can include confusion, a change in blood pressure, hallucinations, or a short rise in anxiety.

You must have a driver with you or the visit will be canceled. Do not drive or do anything that requires full alertness for the rest of that day.

Insurance

Insurance often requires failed antidepressant trials before it will authorize Spravato. We will check your plan, but coverage is not guaranteed.
