Therapy

Space to talk.
Support to move forward.

You don’t need a perfectly worded explanation to start. Share what brings you here and what you hope might feel different. We can help you explore your options.

Why therapy

Medications help you stay afloat. Therapy teaches you to swim.

A common recommendation with medication is some counseling as well. Therapy gives direction and support for the causes of a condition, and helps you notice stressors and strengths. Pills do not teach skills. Confidence comes from understanding your options and practicing self-care.

What therapy can add

  • Support alongside medication management
  • Skills for stress, relationships, and daily life
  • Space to talk through trauma, addiction, or life changes

Beginning therapy

What to discuss at your first session.

Your first conversation is a chance to explain what matters to you, ask questions, and discuss goals with your clinician.

There is room for your questions.

  • What would I like help with?
  • What approach might suit my goals?
  • How often might we meet?
  • How will we discuss progress?
  • How does confidentiality work?

You can ask about the approach before deciding what feels right for you.

Therapy or testing?
